APOORVA PANIDAPU

Founder of ApoorvaArtGallery / Whiz kid of Genius Junior, ApoorvaArtGallery.com

FIRESIDE CHAT, TIE YOUTH

Apoorva is a 7th grader and the founder of Apoorva Panidapu’s Art Gallery (www.apoorvaartgallery.com), an online venue for sharing her artwork. All the proceeds go directly to her charity: “Help Starving African Children" (administered though Save the Children). She is the grand prize winner of NASA Langley Research Center’s Centennial Student Art Contest (2017), as well as a recipient of two Presidential Volunteer Service Awards. Her love of art is matched by her passion for mathematics. Recently, she earned the nickname “Human Calculator” when representing the San Francisco Bay Area on the NBC show, “Genius Junior,” hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. Apoorva has also won many regional, state, and national awards for art, writing, math, and speech and debate. When Apoorva is not making art or participating in competitions, she can be found mentoring underserved youth at a local elementary school, playing the violin in her youth orchestra, listening to Niall Horan, and doing Kung Fu. She hopes to inspire girls to pursue science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) and to encourage others who have the tenacity to achieve greater heights.
