Rajat Mishra is Cisco’s Vice President, Worldwide Services Strategy. He is responsible for driving strategy and innovation for Cisco's $12B services business. His charter spans conceptualizing and incubating organic strategy, inorganic strategy, business innovation (e.g., CHILL) and technology innovation (e.g., Open Source, blockchain). He is also the executive sponsor for Cisco's Distinguished Services Engineer community and Services’ Intellectual Property Strategy. Rajat is a multi-dimensional technology executive with functional experience spanning profit-and-loss responsibility, engineering, strategy and sales across start-ups and large companies. Prior to joining Cisco, Rajat held the position of General Manager at Mu Sigma, a Sequoia-backed analytics and machine learning "unicorn" helping Fortune 500 organizations build predictive algorithms to solve business problems. He has held leadership roles at McKinsey & Company, where he was a leader in the Semiconductor Operations, Technology and Strategy practices working with senior clients across North America, Europe, and Asia. Rajat’s experience also includes engineering management at Microsoft and a stint in Google’s Online Sales team. Rajat’s beacons are his values: Kindness, Courage and Learning. Driving strategy to execution, disrupting markets with innovation and empathetic leadership have been hallmarks of his career. Outside of Cisco, he is on the board of organizations with a strong social soul - PREZENTIUM Inc. (democratizing great business presentations) and Adruta Children's Home (an Indian orphanage supporting 450+ children). He is a highly requested speaker in technology, innovation and diversity conferences and has spoken at CES, VentureBeat, StartUp Grind and Watermark Conference for Women. Rajat holds an MBA degree in strategic management from Wharton, achieving with Director’s List honors, and a BSc degree in computer science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, where he achieved Dean’s List honors. He holds two patents in AI and software instrumentation. He is a loving dad, voracious learner (reads a book a week) and an avid poker player.
