SUMIT DHAWAN

CEO, Instart Logic

Sumit Dhawan will be starting as the CEO of Instart Logic, company focused on delivering digital experience cloud for making web faster, safer and more profitable. Sumit Dhawan is Senior Vice President and General Manager of VMware’s End User Computing (EUC) business, responsible for creating and delivering consumer simple, enterprise secure technology that empower the skills and lifestyles of the most valuable resource within every organization – their people. It is his mission to accelerate the transformation to the digital workspace – to enable individuals to pick the digital tools that empower them to do their best work so they can accomplish their ambitions and enjoy their lives.   Under his leadership across all functions of the business - product, engineering, and Go-To-Market for VMware’s complete EUC portfolio – he and his team have consolidated traditionally siloed market spaces across Mobile & End-point Management, Identity and Contextual Access, and Virtual Desktops and Applications to deliver a single digital workspace platform and experience with Workspace ONE. This vision has resonated in the market and the End User Computing business is $1.5B+ in 2017 growing over 30% YOY and has nearly tripled in size over the past 4 years. He is an avid spokesperson on how transformative technology drives major strategic shifts for business and people, helping lead the industry definition of the Digital Workspace market. He is pushing that definition even further by driving innovation in analytics, security and workplace IoT.   Prior to joining VMware, he was Group Vice President and General Manager of mobile products at Citrix. During nearly 16 years at Citrix, Dhawan worked in several functional areas including product management, engineering, product marketing, sales, and corporate development for various emerging and established businesses.    Dhawan holds degrees in both business and science, with a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Minnesota. Dhawan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
